However, I tend to stay away from chat rooms that are browser based because they tend to eat up more resources than mIRC. If you already have an IRC client, click here: IRC wordpress channel, alternatively you may use the web-chat to access the room. Let’s say you want to connect to channel (room) ircchannel on IRC server. I always thought it was for seminars stuff. With mIRC installed, you only need to know two simple commands to connect to an IRC server and to join a channel /server and /join. I may check out EliteTraders chat room.I didn't know they were posting trade positions in there. Then these same lurkers continue logging in every trading day when no useful info is being posted other than."The market is up"."the market is down"."anybody see that spike".ect. However.I have yet to figure out why even EXPERIENCE traders log into a room full of lurkers and the only conversation is CNBC sucks type of conversation. Then when they get "kicked" and show up again.suddenly they respond and say they were "away from the computer". The lurkers I don't like are the ones you ask them questions and they refuse to respond.even refusing to respond to private messaging. It's not hard at all to type "Long NQ or ES at so-n-so price"."Short NQ or ES at so-n-so price". Me.personally, I would rather be in a room of 30 users and most are participating instead of a room of +100 users and only a few are participating.regardless whether they are experience traders or experience users of mIRC. Some rooms even have public or private script stats that tells them (the room ops) who are participating and who are not. Other rooms are setup to encourage participation (trade posting, strategy discussion or anything discussed to help someone become a better trader).such rooms are easily identified because the room ops are trade posting and asking newcomers questions, saying hello, ect. Some rooms are setup to encourage lurking (the room ops don't care or don't encourage participation).such rooms are easily identified because the room ops doesn't trade post and doesn't welcome new visitors. Some rooms are set up differently on mIRC.
